“This Public Life” are an melodramatic rock outfit emerging from Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs.

TPL offer tunes with the industry credibility of the alternative/underground culture delivered in a pop format, whilst also having something to say, drawing inspiration from everyday life and experience. “We chose the name because anything we write about has in some way affected our life and we make it public through songwriting,” (singer/guitarist Jimmy Pollock)

TPL is Jimmy Pollock (Jimmy Phoenix) and Dylan Webb (Bullfrog) and is quite simply… ‘Just what they do’ their love of creating and hearing things for the first time push’s them to keep doing what they do.

All their music is helped along the way by luring great friends from other bands to come and fill the songs out and enjoy the recording process.

This Public Life’s 2nd EP ‘The Banquet’ pushed them to no 1 Australian artist on European website Jamendo and have had praises from round the world.

Their next release ‘It shouldn’t cost the earth’ will be available soon.

Jimmy also has another project ‘A Whale Called Phoenix‘ with Anthony Nero who also played on The Banquet ep.
